As AI tools become more accessible, not-for-profits have new opportunities to enhance operations—but also new responsibilities to ensure technology is used ethically. This practical module explores real-life dilemmas and introduces the CARE'ing framework (Consequences, Accountability, Responsibility, Explainability) to guide ethical AI decisions. In just 20 minutes, learners will work through relatable scenarios, build confidence in recognising ethical risks, and walk away with tools to align AI use with their organisation’s values.
This course is designed to teach participants:
- Learn about key ethical issues in AI, including fairness, accountability, and transparency.
- Discover a simple framework to help assess and manage ethical risks.
- Apply the framework to address real-world AI dilemmas and deliver practical solutions.
